- Not greasy
- Soft smell
- Mix well with other product
- Cute packaging
- Good base for the foundation
I was looking for a primer to brighten my complexion, and this is the one I got. I have always been loving the Benefit Cosmetics. But, their products can be a little bit pricey. I bought this one in a set from a sell, and I'm happy I got to try this out!
That Gal is perfect for a dull skin day. The product is tinted in pink, and has fine small particles. The brightening effect is very subtle and natural that doesn't turn the face into a grease ball. The texture is silky, but not as silky as those in silicone base. It really helps enhance the look of the foundation. I was afraid if this will be too oily for me, thankfully it is not, and it is not heavy at all.
There are three ways to apply it. First, wear it alone to simply brightens up the dull face. This method is good for someone with good skin condition. Since it doesn't do much to even out skin tone or conceal. Second, wear it under foundation as a primer. Any kind of foundation works, I've tried it with multiple brands and textures of foundations, That Gal makes them all look better. Third, mix it with foundation or tinted moisturizer to make it more glowy and natural. The foundation will glide on more smoothly, but the coverage will lessen a little.
As for the packaging, it is very special and unique. The illustration on the bottle is very cute. You screw up the bottom to get the product out, which is very hygienic. However, it is impossible to tell how much there is left inside.
Over all, I love this product. The effect it creates is very unique. I will definitely repurchase it, if there is a discount again. For more product reviews on Benefit Cosmetics, please check out my other post "
