I have been blogging for more than 6 months. There are a lot of resources that helped me learn along the way, from SEO tips, header design, to social media. In this post, I am sharing with you 5 of my favorite blogs that teaches you how to blog professionally. Some of these websites are also great for people who want to start their own business, become a writer or designer.
- The Nectar Collective
This is my no.1 favorite blog when I want to learn about blogging and designing. The owner of this blog is Melyssa. She is very nice and always answers readers questions in the comment. In this website, you'll find a lot of tips on how to have engaging audience, earning money with your blog, and she provides lots of worksheets to help you organize your site.
- Elle & Company
This blog is by Lauren, also a graphic designer. Her blog contains a lot of great blogging tips and about being a designer. She share a lot of her design works and her clients' website. I learned my SEO tips from her blog, and I love her 50 blogging ideas.
- I Can Build A Blog
As it sated in the blog name, this is the perfect place for you to learn how to build a blog. There are a lot of tutorials about how to add certain features or widgets into your blog. It doesn't matter if you are using Blogger or Wordpress, this website have it all covered. You can update and customize an unique blog by yourself easily.
- How To Blog Design
This is a website made by Ro Little. The reason I love this blog so much is because she also creates YoutTube videos! It's so much easier to understand with video tutorial. Also, if you are new to coding or are intimidated by it, check out her HTML & CSS series for all the basic knowledge you need.
If you want to improve your writing skill, this is the perfect place. This blog has great posts about how to create compiling content, and there are some posts that teaches you how to create infographics. A great blog needs to have awesome content!
I really learned a lot from these websites. There are still a lot of great posts I haven't read yet. I hope you like my list. Make sure you subscribe to their newsletters as well. I am subscribed to The Nectar Collective and Elle & Company. They both send their emails once a week with useful content. And, I love how their emails are not annoying or pushy in any way.
